UFO Lamp
The UFO Lamp is designed to bring playful furniture to the living room. It twists and rotates, and turns on with a press of the top switch, making it both a sculptural and interactive piece.

A switch at the top of the lamp makes it easy to turn on and off.
Using SOLIDWORKS, I calculated the bend radius to match the tube’s thickness. Steel tubing was chosen for its weldability and relatively lightweight properties.
Cork was turned on the lathe to provide a soft feel for the lamp and was easy to shape. The steel frame was made through tube bending and TIG welding, while the lamp cover was vacuum-formed from styrene.
